چکیده
In this study, the effects of different cellulosic wastes on nutritional values Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq.) P. Kumm. were investigated. Dry matter, moisture, protein, fat and ash contents analyzed according to AOAC methods. Crude protein determined by Kjeldahl method Soxhlet extraction, using ether as a solvent, respectively. Chemical composition such dry crude organic matter 93.5-93.7%, 6.3-6.5%, 25.2-33.5%, 1.7-2.5%, 5.3-9.7% 84.0-88.2% weight, respectvely. There no significant differences in moisture content grown various local residues (p>0.05), but changeable other nutrient (p

Micro and Macronutrient Properties of Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq: Fries) Cultivated on Different Wood Substrates
The micro and macronutrient content of Pleurotus ostreatus cultivated on different woody substrates viz; Pycnanthus ongoleubis, Ceiba pentandra and Cananium sp. was investigated. Mineral analysis revealed that phosphorus had the highest value in all the minerals sampled and it value ranges between 51.97 mg/100 g to 56.77 mg/100 g while Magnesium recorded the least value of 1.69 mg/100g to 3.57 ...
متن کاملDegradation of Green Polyethylene by Pleurotus ostreatus
We studied the biodegradation of green polyethylene (GP) by Pleurotus ostreatus. The GP was developed from renewable raw materials to help to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases. However, little information regarding the biodegradation of GP discarded in the environment is available. P. ostreatus is a lignocellulolytic fungus that has been used in bioremediation processes for agroindustria...
متن کاملIron bioaccumulation in mycelium of Pleurotus ostreatus
Pleurotus ostreatus is able to bioaccumulate several metals in its cell structures; however, there are no reports on its capacity to bioaccumulate iron. The objective of this study was to evaluate cultivation variables to increase iron bioaccumulation in P. ostreatus mycelium. A full factorial design and a central composite design were utilized to evaluate the effect of the following variables:...
متن کاملRedundancy among manganese peroxidases in Pleurotus ostreatus.
Manganese peroxidases (MnPs) are key players in the ligninolytic system of white rot fungi. In Pleurotus ostreatus (the oyster mushroom) these enzymes are encoded by a gene family comprising nine members, mnp1 to -9 (mnp genes). Mn(2+) amendment to P. ostreatus cultures results in enhanced degradation of recalcitrant compounds (such as the azo dye orange II) and lignin. In Mn(2+)-amended glucos...
متن کاملInfluence of Trace Elements on Ligninolytic Enzyme Activity of Pleurotus ostreatus and P. pulmonarius
Trace elements, at tolerable concentrations, are either part of the active site or act as an activity modulator of ligninolytic enzymes of white-rot mushrooms. They are usually in plant raw materials in a non-toxic amount or non-available and extractable forms. This study evaluated the effects of Fe, Zn, and Se on the activity of laccase and Mn-oxidizing peroxidases of P. ostreatus and P. pulmo...
